Daniel has won the confidence of a record 101 districts. As a classroom practitioner he understands the unique challenges that we face. He is committed to challenging inequality and injustice wherever it exists and his work as national President raising awareness about child poverty and its impact was significant in our work as a union. He is the candidate who can lead a strong and united union who can improve the lives of our members and the young people who we work with.
Louise Regan
National Officer and Past President

Enough is Enough

Education is in crisis. Over the past decade funding has been eroded, pay has declined 24%, workload has become unmanageable, and we have lost professional autonomy. I am the candidate able to lead a strong and united union that can ensure positive change. Our most important task is to win fair funding, lift pay, reduce workload and return joy to our classrooms.

Reclaim Education

We must take back control of curriculum, assessment and pedagogy. Under my leadership we will campaign to end OFSTED’s tyranny and reclaim education. As the only candidate who is an experienced primary and secondary teacher, I can be your authentic voice.

Experience Leadership

For three years I have led our Union alongside Kevin Courtney and Mary Bousted as National President and National Officer enabling our union to respond effectively to the pandemic. My experience of meeting ministers and the English and Welsh pay review bodies has taught me that only a well organised, energetic and campaigning union can make politicians listen.

Unity is Strength

I will strengthen our work with other unions and build a closer relationship with NASUWT. Uniting every staffroom will enable us to take successful strike action when needed.
